A great game which my kids (11, 13 and 14yrs) love. We also bought the Rockband software too and although the Beatles software is obviously a must for Beatlemaniacs (and I specifically got it as it allows 3 singers at once), the kids prefer the basic Rockband as that allows them to create their own band.

I bought this as I am a huge Beatles fan, I already had Guitar Hero and was already enjoying playing the guitar( Although i'm not the greatest at it!). I have found the packaged drums, guitar and microphone. I have to say that the guitar doesn't feel as good as the full version but for half the price you can't complain. The only thing lacking from the box is a microphone stand but its no big problem. The software its self is excellent and the background graphics are really very good.
The only thing that I can find to complain about is the cost of the downloadable content, but this is the same right across the PS Network! But all in all I can say, after a great news eve party playing on this, is that even if your not a Beatles fan this is a great game. And if you are a fan of the music this is a must buy!!!

This is a very addictive game ! All members of the family will enjoy playing along. It comes with beatles game, guitar, drums and microphone which is similar to singstar and need to be played through your existing PS3. Was very easy to set up and play, under 15 minutes from opening the box we were playing. There is a practice level to get you started. The drums and guitar are colour coded, as the colour appears on the screen you hit the correct colour in time to the beat.
All your efforts are scored at the end of the track except if your really bad the song is abandoned. I know that because I was really bad the first time !! My 2 year old sings along to the microphone, the Beatles tracks are very catchy and easy to remember. My 6 and 8 year old prefer the drums. The guitar does require more technique but my kids can still score 75% on the easy level but with more practice Im this would improve. You can choose beginner - advanced and each track shows a bar to let you know the level of skill required. This comes with a lead guitar although we havent tried anything too difficult yet to test it fully. The Beatles edition of this game that comes with replica Beatles guitar is £80 more and comes with a base guitar, you have to pay an extra £ 80 for the lead guitar. Bear this in mind when deciding between the two, my husband said he would have been disappointed to only have the base guitar. You can compete with all friends set up on your PS3 as with other games it shows the score to beat. My personal favourite are the drums, I find the guitar makes my wrist ache. We have grandparents this weekend and Im looking forward to seeing grandad on the drums ! I think this is very good value for money, especially compared the the Beatles edition set. I dont know how it compares to Guitar Hero but we particulary wanted the Beatles tracks.
