2.0 out of 5 stars The Usual Ripp-off, 21 April 2009
By Michael de Loewe - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
You are a Beatles Fan?

You're collecting everything related to the Beatles?

Then you don't need this one. Even as a german Beatles-fan and a collector of almost everything around the Beatles: there is nothing on this DVD I haven't seen on any other official DVD.
As usual there is no music on it played and performed by the Beatles, not even on the concert footage (Washington). The quality of picture and sound is slightly bad - and the Narrator does not seem to know what he is talking about. He claims i.e. that "Get Back" (he meant "Let It Be") was issued before "Abbey Road".

You see some interviews, you'll hear a lot of screaming - nothing new and mostly hard to understand, what they are saying.

The content of this DVD is from "The First US Visit" and "She Loves You". Except maybe two or three short pieces there was nothing on it I haven't seen before.

We can work it out...

1.0 out of 5 stars total rubbish - don't bother, 26 May 2009
I have been searching for a DVD which tells the Beatles story from beginning to end in a brief summary. I bought this as the title seemed to imply just that. I have never seen a 'documentary' that simply seemed to be rough footage of video cameras pointed at the Beatles and all you can hear most of the time is screaming. You cant hear what they are saying of playing/singing on stage. Its like watching a home movie with a voice over that seems to be just trying to justify the reason for the visuals! Shameful :(
