An excellent book that breaks down the songs in a way that compliments the book. The book is suitable for a learner and also advanced guitarists. The songs are very accurate and the stereo splitting of the cd is particularly useful. The notation also corresponds correctly with the cd and ao the song can be followed. The slow tempo version also allows progression to be made gradually, rather than expecting you to be able to master it immediately at the correct tempo. The book is better than having a guitar lesson. If you have the basics of playing then this package will prove valuable.

This book provides authentic tab for Beatles tunes with a major acoustic guitar component - these are transcriptions of the original guitar parts. The coverage in terms of songs is good - Blackbird, Julia, Across the Universe etc. The book and accompanying CD are clear and well set out. If you're a beginner you may find the parts quite challenging.

Funny thing, the first review of this book - the one star, not forbeginners - is what prompted me to buy the book. I've been playing a whileand wouldn't class myself as good,but certainly not a learner. This bookis a more eclectic look at some of the Beatles' acoustic tunes rather thana sing along to yellow submarine, 'here are the chords off we go' type ofbook. There are some alternative tunings in the book but the CD promptsyou on this. If you're somewhere between good and beginner and know a bitof music theory, like me, then this book will give you enough challenge toyour playing. Enjoy.
