Lovely Advice for a Happier Life 17 Feb 2012
By Rebecca Johnson - Published on Amazon.com

Tired of feeling depressed? Is the weather getting you down? Would you like to escape to a warm sunny beach? Beating the Blues is a helpful book for people who feel stuck with bad feelings. Elisabeth Wilson helps you to feel mentally well with many tried and true techniques.

First the author uses questions to analyze your life situations and then comments on solutions. She also recommends keeping a diary or to at least write down negative and positive thoughts and feelings just to get them out of your mind and onto paper where you can analyze them.

Some of the things this book talks about includes: music therapy, essential oils, pleasurable activities, ways to take care of yourself, diet tips and reclaiming your creativity. I liked the ideas about taking a Japanese bath, doing yoga, stretching and floating in salt water.

Along the way while reading this book you will also find out fascinating facts like that drinking organic milk is better for you because it contains 70% more Omega-3 than regular milk. Also there are some good food recommendations like eating dates and hazelnuts can boost serotonin levels.

This book has many great ideas and all of them can be done at home. You may find yourself reading and scribbling down ideas like that you need to take up painting or you just have to learn how to make your own massage oils. This book will be most appreciated by women.
