Product Description

If you are an adult and suspect that you are been bullied, than this is the book for you!

When it comes to bullying, there is a vast amount of information written on this topic. Unfortunately most of the research and advice has been written with regards to bullying amongst children, within the school playground, etc.

Unfortunately many bullies don’t grow out of this mind-set and as such, end up as adult bullies and unfortunately, there is not much advice on how to deal with an adult bully!

In Beat The Bully, you will learn what exactly a bully is and discover a simple test to see whether you are being bullied or not. You will also learn;

• Everyone gets bullied at least once, even those who claim they don’t
• The three categories which all bullies fall under
• Some of the prevalent myths about bullying and how these are just myths
• The psychological effects of bullying
• How to reverse these affects and take back your power
• The damaging affects to the organisation in which the bully operates

Yet most importantly, you will discover the techniques that you can put in place to stop the bullying once and for all, no matter what type of bully is targeting you. Even if you don’t believe that you are being targeted by a bully, the tools in this book will provide you with the resources so that if you ever are, you will not be powerless.

Life is too short to have part of it being targeted by a bully, so learn to Beat The Bully!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read! 5 Oct 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
A friend showed me this book and at first i thought that it was just another book aimed at school kids. What a pleasant surprise to find it dealt with the very real problem of bullies in the work place and other organisations. It is written in an empathetic style as the author himself admits that he has been bullied himself and occasionally still attracts the attention of would be bullies. This is the cross that some of us more sensitive, quieter people have to bear in my opinion. How nice to be able to understand the different kinds of bullying and how to deal with each one.In de mystifying bullying and showing how you can protect your psyche from the effects of bullying, the author reduces the "monster" to a manageable size
Another problem that the victim of bullying faces is wondering wether he/she really is being bullied, are they over reacting? This is clearly dealt with so we can see the situation for what it really is.
Well done, more please!

5.0 out of 5 stars A practical, 'from the heart' read 12 Dec 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
It is rare to come across a book written by someone who not only gives relevant and practical advice on how to deal with bullies, both in childhood and in adulthood, who also speaks from experience as one who has been bullied in the past, but has learned over time, strategies and techniques to deal with these parasites. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn how to redress the balance in a professional, respectful and dignified manner, not lowering oneself to the tricks and manipulative behaviours of bullies.

5.0 out of 5 stars An interesting and informative study on bullying 20 Nov 2011
By Mike
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I found this account written by Alex Gadd, based on a combination of research and interesting anecdotes, an informative and engaging read. It provides much insight into the problem of bullying at work, one that is likely to be more subtle in an adult environmnent, and therefore a little more difficult to detect. The informal style of writing makes it easy to read and despite a few typing errors, I have given it 5 stars; yes there are some mistakes, but they rarely spoil the flow of reading, and certainly are not serious enough to detract from the significance of the topic or the usefulness of the various strategies suggested.
I would strongly recommend this book as one that anyone could find interesting to read, but particularly if you are, or have been, a target of a bully. Well done Alex.
