So glad I bought this book. It's so relevant. Some pages are not so relevant to me but lots of others read as if its me it talks about. The book gives good practical advice about whats wrong and ways to help yourself. I have the Optiman Nutrition Bible but this is a lot more specialised.

chromium,6 an essential mineral that helps stabilise blood sugar levels. The average daily intake is below 50mcg, whereas the optimal intake, certainly for those with blood sugar problems, is around 200mcg. Chromium is found in wholefoods and is therefore higher in wholewheat flour, bread and pasta than in refined products; it is also present in beans, nuts and seeds. Asparagus and mushrooms are especially rich in chromium. "e;

The best forms of chromium are either picolinate or polynicotinate. Chromium polynicotinate is chromium bound with niacin (vitamin B3). "e;
