Format:Audio CD
I love this record! Picked it up after it received the 'thumbs up' in an obscure music paper I'd never read before! Did a little research on who this Madlib is, finally taking the plunge after reading nothing but glowing tributes! Picking up this album has been inspired, 35 tracks all full of imagination without limits! Anyone into sampling, hip-hop, jazz, funk and soul will dig this record. Not many of the tracks are longer than two or three minutes, but I don't think it's an issue, the quality is high!
Fans of MF Doom, Madvillian, DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist and any of the The Stones Throw record label output, should get hold of this.
Choice tracks:The Comeback,Stax,Whatkanido (Can Do It),The Comeup (Come Down).

Format:Audio CD
Another Madlib invazion!! This time into movie samples and another interesting offering from Stones Throws finest. I do believe some of the best Hip-Hop Ive heard in the 15 years Ive followed it has come from this chap.
This album follows on in the same vain to a simply titled album that has been around on the internet called called 'The Beat Conductor' in that it keeps to very short sometimes sampler feeling track durations but I believe its no the worse for it. Starting with the ultra strong 'The Comeback' which has an awesome cutting of soul vocals over a plodding beat and melody and finishing with tracks like the phat bumping 'African Walk' this album has quality beat making throughout.
If I was to make one criticism it would be that some of the beats are kind of filler feeling but as they are at longest 2mins long it never gets dull. The tracks that stand out are so damn good to keep these ears going back and back again.

Ask no more or less.Small packed deep mixed up and down wild and soft beats and pieces, cut and paste one after the other into a great Beat Konducta.

Musical travel through sounds, at times some of the tunes sound more like excerpts and wish they were a bit longer but the lenght as it is adds to the project, Recommend.

Lazy beats + Madlib = greatest stuff ever?!
With a listen to this i feel that not much thought has gone into the tracklisting and the quality control was a bit low. Read more
