Its hard to know where to start with this cd. From the wild punky guitars, chants and drums of Caranguejo Estrela Brilhante to the beautiful gamelan polyrhythms of Rio de Jakarta this is a constantly suprising record full of great music. It's true world music without pretention or device, picking and choosing from an entire world full of music to produce a homegenous (without in anyway being bland) well rounded sound all of its own.
Make sure you play it loud.
