About the Author

Alexandra Massey has counselled hundreds of people in her role as Chairman of a 12-step fellowship that assists adult children of alcoholics and dysfunctional families. When she was diagnosed as being depressed several years ago, she decided to find a way to help herself out of the condition without resorting to prescribed drugs. Marjorie Wallace is Chief Executive of SANE - one of the UK's leading mental illness charities.
