More About the Author

Adam Blade is in his late twenties, and was born in Kent, England. His parents were both history teachers and amateur artists, and Adam grew up surrounded by his father's paintings of historic English battles - which left a lifelong mark on his imagination. He was also fascinated by the ancient sword and shield that hung in his father's office. Adam's father said they were a Blade family heirloom. As a boy, Adam would spend days imagining who could have first owned the sword and shield. Eventually, he created a character - Tom, the bravest boy warrior of them all. The idea for Beast Quest was born. hen Adam grew up and decided that he wanted to be a writer, he was stuck for ideas - until he remembered the old sword and shield, and the imaginary boy he had created when he was young. Adam decided to bring Tom fully to life so that readers could go on the kind of adventures that he always wanted to when he was that age... And still does, even though he's grown up! When he's not writing Beast Quest books, Adam enjoys visiting museums and ancient battle sites. His main hobbies are fencing and football. He also spends a lot of time at home running around after his two exotic pets - a tarantula named Ziggy, and a capuchin monkey named Omar. These little rascals were the inspiration for two of the Beasts that Tom faces on his Quest - Arachnid and Claw. adly, Adam does not have his own Fire-Dragon or Horse-Man. But he really wishes he did!

If you are having problems getting your boys to read, get them these books. My son was not into reading when he was eight years old and he is almost 11 and he has read every book in the beast quest series, all 30!!! of them In between he has read others such as eragon. The stories are exciting and although he has tried to explain them to me, admittedly, I do not get the attraction, but the main thing is that he loves them. In addition, all his male classmates have now got into the books. My son now makes up his own stories and these books have helped to unlock an amazing imagination. Aimed at the difficult age of 8 to 13 for boys, they well and truly hit the mark.

Beast Quest is an amazing book writen by Adam Blade. All children would love this book.

The story is about a little boy who goes on a quest and there are 30 Beasts to free. Tom wears the golden armer. He has to free them from bad.He gets special abilies after his quest and put it on his shiled. He needs to quickly get into Gogonia to kill the beats.

I like the bit about the book when Soltra whips the Farmer and he turned to stone. What. I dislike about it is when Soltra whent in the sky because it diden't tell me how she got there.

I would say that year 3 boys would enjoy this book, because it has a good main character with special helpers to help Tom in his quest. His helpers are Tom Elenor Silver who is a wolf and Storm who is a horse.
