Following Going on a Bear Hunt and The Bear in a Cave, this book is another wonderful journey with Bear. Lovely illustrations, familiar repeatition in the text and becoming one of my favourite series of books.

A fantastic sequel to the Bear In The Cave that had my friend's little tot's full attention due to it's exciting rhyming words and use of onomatopoeias.

What makes this title is the beautifully colourful illustrations by Adrian Reynolds (artist for the Harry and his Bucketful of Dinosaur titles) alongside an audio CD that will have your young reader chanting along.

The plot is reasonable and whilst there are a few nonsense words within, it's the freshness and regular refrains that will stick in the young child's mind. Whilst it won't make my top ten picture titles for this year, it does keep the young reader happy and at the end of the day that's what matters.
