Format:Audio CD
In general I like this CD. Both narrator's voices are nice and the stories padded out nicely so making them a decent length for bedtime. Unfortunately my 3 yr old freaked out after listening to the jack and the beanstalk story - the giant chasing Jack was presented too scarily and he wouldn't go to sleep for hours - we now start the CD at no 2 goldilocks which he really likes!!

i bought this for my 5 year old daughter to listern to in bed. after i read her bedtime stories, she begs me to read her more. now all i have to do is put this cd on and she's happy to go to sleep listerning to it. it is a good story cd the story tellers are good, but i do have a few problems with it. it would have been nice to have a few sound effects in the stories, also the intro music for each story goes on for a bit too long. i also have to start the cd at story number 2 which is goldilocks because the one before it (jack and the beanstalk) scares her slightly, which is not a good idea at bedtime! i will be looking out for more story cd's but not necessarily these ones.

Format:Audio CD
My daughter is 3 years old and absolutely loves listening to nursery rhymes and stories in the car. I bought her BBC Audio CD 'The Three Pigs' first and she loved listening to it...and actually, it didn't get on my nerves as much as I thought it would - especially as it's on continiously in the car and we drive around quite a bit regularly for journies of at least an hour. So I bought this one too. Again, it's a complete hit! Lenny Henry is pretty good as is Sheridan Smith. No complaints from me or my girl! Time passes nicely in the car now!

Gabriels Delight
My 3 year old grandson loves this story and likes to 'pretend' to read it with you as he knows the stages so well. It will be ideal when he starts to read too. Read more

These four stories are great - up-to-date language and humour without losing the fairytale spirit. Enjoyable for children and adults alike!

Great for long car journeys!
Four stories that help pass the tedium of long car journeys with a preschooler - kept our normally noisy 3 year old enthralled. Simply told but effective. Great value.

good choice
Very pleased with yet another audio book for my 8 year old, she reads every evening and then has time to listen to her ipod, which is loaded with audio book stories, great idea
