Great book for beginners,

I bought this book for my 14 year old daughter who is just starting beading. It opens out rather like a folder and the spiral binding makes the pages stay open easily.
It has a good section at the beginning showing you what all the pieces are and all the tools you will need. There are lots of projects to choose from - mainly necklaces, bracelets and earrings and all are accompanied with pictures and very thorough and clear explanations. Although she has not tried any on the projects yet, she is raring to go! I would definitely recommend this for a beginner - adult or child.

the book has excellent detailed info for the absolute beginner, superb photos and very good detailed step-by-step instructions for the tools needed and the basic techniques to start you on your bead necklace making.
However the '25 hot projects' advertised on the cover are in fact a bunch of rather simplistic ones (mostly for children to make AND wear) and sometimes verge on the ridiculous - ie a bracelet and a brooch made of safety pins, and some weird ankle-toe loop thingy. My advice is, if you are a grown up look for something more challenging - and cheaper.
