Many of the Point Horrors namely by RL Stine and Diane Hoh had the most predictable endings of all time, and after reading 25 or so I was beginning to lose faith in them.

Then comes Beach House, and it could well be the best one of all! It's up there with Diane Hoh's The Scream Team, and Richie Tankersley Cusick's Fatal Secrets. I could go on forever about these and others, but I don't want to waste your time, so...

Beach House is fantastic. I was 11 when I read it and was blown out of my Y6 chair. The deaths are surprisingly brutal, especially with whatever the hell happened to Stuart...shivers up my spine!

The book continuously flashes back and forth between the past and the present, and at first I had no idea why, but expected something the entire time...then the answers came, and my God are they great.

I'm not going to ruin the ending for anyone, but I just need to emphasize how surprised I was. The last climactic pages were spent in my classroom, ignoring the teacher involuntarily. My eyes were glued to the pages. What a book!

Beach Party?
Don't even bother. It's nothing compared to this.

Thank you Mr Stine!

At first, I didn't really want to read this book, but when I started to read it I could not put it down. Usually when you read books the first couple of chapters are boreing, but within the first couple of chapters there's all ready been betrail, exitment, mystery and lets not forget the MURDERS.Further on in the story it gets a bit obvious who the killer is BUT THEN WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT SOMETHING HAPPENS THAT YOU WOULD NEVER EXPECT TO HAPPEN. you finally have the whole book sussed and then just one thinghappens and your back to squere one.If you are thinking of reading this book and then think it has a bit to many pages, then you should get it because when you start reading it you won't put it down believe me. hope you have a nice time reading it.

Good, but some loose ends
The general plot of the book is interesting and will keep the reader guessing. The "split plot" is presented well and is easy to follow, but the ending to me feels rushed and there... Read more

Absolutely excellent
This was a little bit science fictiony towards the end, something which I don't really like. However, I would definitely recommend this. Read more

Not bad but not good.
This was an alright read but it wasnt one of the authors best. It was very predictable at times and it all gets a little too science fictiony towards the end. Read more

touching and very imaginative!
Beach House is one of the many point horror books I've read and probably one of the best. You never suspect what happens at the end and it is incredibly well written. Read more
