Listening to any of the "Hed Kandi" albums, or other similar labels and CD's for that matter (such as Naked Music, Defected, and Slip N slide...) one wonders why this genre is rarely at the top of any commercial dance charts. Maybe it's best to keep that way; for those discerning, mature and laid-back clubbers.
This album is even better than its magnificent predecessor. My favourites on CD1 are Panyard - In the Sand, Kevin Yost's "lookinf for love" version, Rythm Plate - Breathe again and the wonderful remix of the Brazilian Jazz singer, Bebel Gilberto. On CD2, A:xus, Fac 15 and Physics -7am sessions all stand out.
But in fact, all the tracks are blissful, an allegory to that original hippie Ibiza spirit, that seems to have almost been washed away from the white island by the waves of more massified hard-house and techno rubbish.
