If you want a general overview of etiquette and manners this book is useful. It offers common sense advice in a straight forward format. It is presented in a clear way with each topic covered in individual chapters and then with further sub chapters. If you are short on time there is a list at the end of each chapter of things to remember. It was a quick read and easy to understand. I felt the authors covered a wide spectrum of topics including potentially sensitive subjects like death, disability and homosexuality.

This book is not going to change who you are, but it will serve as a welcome reminder of the importance of treating those around you with respect - with plenty of pointers.

Book was not what I expected, to be honest, I was expecting much more. I don't find this book a value for money.

Not sure for whom is this book written? Maybe for the people who lived in isolation from society and who suddenly need to be taught the most basic of the basics? People who didn't have parents or carrers to teach them the basics? People who have been institutionalised for a while?
In any case, if one reads it just as a light read for a wont of a better book, than- too much repetittion.
And if there are such persons who would benefit from learning so called modern manners, than the advice is in many places just unclear and vague instead of a helpfull one and there are not enough real life examples.
I gave it 3 stars, as reading any book is better than reading no book.

This book is quite simple. I was looking for some ideas on manners because i find they lack inn any peope and to be honest I wanted to improve mine. In all fairness to the book I have not finished reading it yet.
