While Be Big is one of L and H's best, it is the shorter Laughing Gravy that is probably their masterwork. Here we have the gentle, but irascible Hardy at his comic best, while the dizzy Laurel manages to cook up enough trouble for Hardy to fill a plot twice its length. The two-reeler is the...
