The first expansion for Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game, Pegasus adds two new supplemental game boards featuring the Battlestar Pegasus and the planet New Caprica, seven new characters, two plastic Basestars, as well as new Destination, Crisis, Loyalty, Quorum, Super Crisis, and Skill cards.
The new Pegasus board can be used by itself or together with the New Caprica board to create the game you desire – the Pegasus alone for the additional firepower she provides, or add the New Caprica board to simulate the rebellion on the new human colony, bringing the game to an epic level.
New rules introduce the ability to play as a new character type – the Cylon Leader, with a new Treachery Skill card type.

The original galactica board game is a big hit in our gaming group, so we were looking forward to Pegasus. Overall, we like the new characters and the ability to play a cylon with various victory conditions was good too, but the New Caprica section, we felt, added nothing to the game.
The problem stems from choice, as the cylon, you basically throw either crisis cards or occupation forces at the humans, but with occ forces being killed on a 6+, it's quite easy for the humans to keep them under control, a couple of XO's or Strategic Plannings make life very easy indeed. This makes this section really, really dull as the cylon player, and as the human you basically sit on the location for prepping the civilian ships.
Overall, 3/5 is fair for this expansion, don't buy it unless all you're after are a few new options for your base game, cos it doesn't offer much.

This is a must for fans of the show and game.
I think the key to its fun is the fact that during the game there are traitors, the fun being trying to survive and detect the hidden cylon.
The new add-on features new map areas, Pegasus and new caprica. The pegasus can fire at multiple cylon raiders, can fire upon base stars, You even have the ability to flush one of your human colleagues out of the airlock and kill them if you suspect they are a traitor, although the traitor can plant doubt in your mind and get you to execute one of your colleagues and plant distrust in everyones minds.
There is a new card type of treachery which can have more devastating effect if secretly placed, plus new characters to choose from.
All in all, once you find BSG the game repetitive, buy this for a fun change to the game.
It is amust for any fan of BSG.

An excellent expansion for the base game. The added characters are great and each new part of the rules can be added separately for a great variety of experiences. The new caprica phase is not as good as the main game however but does add replay value if you get tired of the original.
