Can anyone who has received and installed the game confirm that you can play it online out of the box for free? I've been reading conflicting info regarding this, most of it leaning towards online play being free with charges for "extras".

The whole (!) current Multiplayer Mode is playable WITHOUT any extra costs (besides your copy of the game), and your own internet fee (you'd have that even without SC2) of cause.

Mr D.K Lind says:
There are no extras. The only fee you pay is the one to purchase the actual game, your internet connection and the electricity to run both.
