Book Description

The tenth instalment of an epic twelve-book science fiction series that tells of humanity's desperate struggle to survive against an overwhelming alien invasion.

The audacious escape from Earth had given humanity a chance of survival, but they find themselves in an unknown system that presents its own dangers. Even before they can move on, the fleet is struck by hidden forces embedded within both military and civilian craft. Taylor must fight to keep the precious few humans alive against an ever growing threat.

Reconnaissance of the new system reveals the remnants of ancient alien technology and even the possibility of a new home, but Taylor soon finds out why their alien enemy, the Krys, fear the system so greatly. While Commander Kelly leads a desperate resistance on Earth, Taylor makes the most unexpected of discoveries. A discovery that could either end all their lives or give them hope of saving their homeworld.

Battle Earth is a futuristic sci-fi action adventure that chronicles vast bloody battles following humanity's first reach into the stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars return of form!!!!!!!! 4 Jan. 2014

Great to see that MR Thomas has churned out another excellent read. After books 7&8 I was slightly concerned that the series had got a big old and the story had gone in a strange direction but Nick has delivered a very exciting twist which has made me fall in love with the series all over again.

I believe there are going to be 12 books in total in the series but if the quality can stay at this level I would be more than happy to pay for any additional volumes should they be written.

5.0 out of 5 stars another winner 25 Feb. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Well, just finished the book and as normal I want the next instalment. Proper sci fi with goodies and baddies and a bit of humour, can't ask for more.

Ok some people will give long winded literary reviews I guess but for me these are the sort of books that give me an easy, absorbing read to pass a couple of hours away and that's what I want.

Thanks Nick for the whole series.

3.0 out of 5 stars Book 10 23 Feb. 2014

I very nearly stopped reading the book as the start just seemed to have completely lost its way, but after a while it really picked up. First third of the book 1 star the rest 4 stars, I really hope the series ends well as after ten books I feel vested in the series.
