Fast Charger with Built in USB port.This 6 in 1 travel charger with built in 5V USB port allowing you to charge your iPod, iPhone or any device that can connect to a USB port. The charger is an essential item for anyone with a digital camera/digital accessory requiring a USB charge port. Ideal with a spare battery (which we have available separately); lets you charge a replacement battery whilst still being able to use your camera at home or on the move.
The charger plates are inter-changeable and we sell for a range of Camcorder and Camera Batteries. We also sell a AA/AAA charger plate (not supplied).
The multiple voltage charger can be used anywhere in the world because it is compatible with any mains voltage between 100 to 240V, all you need is the correct adaptor! If you have trouble finding a mains outlet, then you can plug the charger to any 12/24V car, boat or caravan outlet - adapter is supplied..
The unit has two charge options - Fast and slow charge cycles, allowing you to save energy if you decide to select the slow charge option overnight.
This digital battery charger has a moulded UK 3 pin mains plug and a car cigarette lighter connector, enabling you to charge while on the move. The charger has a LED to indicate charging in process and changes from red to green when fully charged. This charger will charge branded batteries as well as equivalent non-branded batteries.

I know you'll be looking at this product after you have bought it and thinking there is another part that comes with it... there is a battery caddy that you fit your battery into that then slips into the charger.
Red light tells you it's charging and the green light says it's charged.
Haven't tried it in the car, the charge holds for the same amount as the Nikon charger... that is lost!?!
What excites me is that if I can change the caddy for another Nikon camera battery, I'd have no need to pack 2 chargers on field trips. Looking into that just now and I will update when I know.
So short version, charges the battery, light indicator goes green when charged, takes the same amount of time as the Nikon charger and doesn't feel hot if you leave it charging overnight. Conclusion... good buy!

I found a need for this charger because I spend a lot of time out an about, in my car, for long periods when a mains powered unit can not be used. This charger fits the bill precisely. Now, I can go about my photography for as long as I need without having to concern myself with flat batteries. Well recommended.

I lost my Nikon branded charger and found this on Amazon. I am delighted with it. It arrived promptly and is easier, and clearer, to use than the more expensive Nikon brand. It has the added benefit of a car-connection that I made good use of in the first weekend. Even if I should find my old Nikon charger I'd still use this one out of preference.
