I watched this last night. What was I thinking buying this? Well, I don't know. It was cheap (in more ways than one).
What we have here is one of those "Sci-fi Channel" movies. For a movie like this to work it needs a healthy dose of humour. Sadly everyone seems to be trying to play it straight - no mean feat given how horrid the script is.
Clearly shot in some Eastern European country we have a script that serves only to minimize the budget necessary to make it work. So instead of having killer bats flying around and killing all-sundry, we have a wood with bats in it. And they're mostly CGI bats. And every helicopter ride is CGI'd, except when we see the actors in the copter, where it's clearly green-screened.
Some of the actors are clearly dubbed, and anyone who thought a rifle was a good weapon about thousands of bats is, well, bats. Not only that, but our small-brained creatures (and I'm talking about the soldiers here) are busy trying to shoot ats out of the sky, when all thyey had to do was shoot the loud-speakers that are WAILING, clearly stirring up our critters..... Still, you should expect logic from such a story.
I am very forgiving, but really can't recommend this. The disc have three trailers for other titles, and two "deleted" scenes - no idea why they weren't in the film itself.
This is rubbish.
