Not only does this book cover the film in fantastic detail, but it adds some scenes missing from the film.(Like the scene with batman on a horse.) The joker is spot on and all the classic lines from the film are here. The line 'Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moon light.' is used alot but the book is finished before you get sick of it. Great read.

Now, if you're a fan of the film, then you'll simply love this. It differs slightly from the film in some areas, which adds a little twist and makes things more interesting. The characters too are more developed, with an insight into what they're thinking, and what makes them tick.
Put simply, if you have the film, then you should own this, it's a fabulous tie-in. To those who haven't seen the film but have an interest in Batman, it's still worth getting, as it's a fantastic story and works well on it's own as a novel as it does as a tie-in.

Whoever did the previous one has dreamt the storyline!
Catwoman is not in this one..........this is the tie in of the first Tim Burton Batman film and it is excellent,yes 90% of it we already know from the screen play but there are the odd differences but best of all we get to read what Batman is thinking,Craig Shaw Gardner has done a brilliant job with this novel.........and now Batfans........Batman Returns!!!
