Scarecrow is a character i wouldn't have given a second glance if it hadn't been for his appearance in Nolan's Batman series, and now I think he's a pretty interesting character.

The sculpt is very very good. It's a perfect recreation of Cillian Murphy's scarecrow mask and looks suitably layered and worn. The straitjacket that he wore in the climax of "Begins" is also fantastic, although the so-called "ice-cream scoop" cuffs are a little off putting and make him look a bit silly in certain poses.

Under the jackethe wears a normal shirt with black trousers and shoes, all of which are nicely sculpted, even though they're not especially detailed.

His articulation is fairly good, with a nice smooth ball jointed neck, ball hinged arms and legs with hinged elbows, knees and feet as well as swivel thighs and wrists, but you can barely move the wrists due to the oversized cuffs. I neglected to mention he also has a chest hinge which is a little tricky to get at also, in fact the jacket makes posing him a little tricky all round, not because if its restrictiveness, but because it's hard to pose without him looking silly.

Like all other movie master figures except The Joker, the only "accessory" Scarecrow has is his "crime scene evidence" complete with bag. While the bag would make anice faux prop, the evidence is a bit odd, since it's an Action Man version of his mask, which, while nicely made, is a bit superflous to the figure and pretty pointless.

The paint job is fantastic, the mask looks incredible and the jacket looks suitably grungy. The underclothes are less detailed but since they're not really visible it's forgivable. The only tiny complaint I have is that the hair sticking our at the back of his mask looksa tad light to me. It's brown, whereas in the filmit was either black or at least a very dark shade of brown.

Scarecrow is a great figure to add to your collection, so long as you're willing to accept he's more of a visually impressive figure than one with fantastic articulation.
