I hadn't seen "The Batman" animated TV series before watching this, and my expectations weren't all that high as what I'd heard wasn't all that positive and, after all, how could it beat the animated series from the '90s? The feature-length cartoon is, however, good, dark (it's Batman, after all) fun.
The combination of Dracula and the Dark Knight may seem a slightly odd one, but it's not too strange, really. Consider, the appeal of both vampires and Batman is in their dark natures, and their dual existences. Both Dracula and Batman have respectable public personas, and both have a darker (and, for that matter, nocturnal) hidden side to their characters. They also both, uh, turn into bats - a point this feature makes more times than is really needed, but there you go.
The story involves, along with Bats and Dracula, reporter Vicki Vale, the Joker, and the Penguin. The Joker in this new series is quite good fun, but the character was perfected in the old series, and while the voice of Kevin Michael Richardson is good, it can't beat Mark Hamill, whose sinister coo and laugh evoked both humour and horror. The Penguin is done well, more extreme than in the old series, where his character was the only villain I found a little dull and disappointing. Here he is - in appearance - more like the "Long Halloween" Penguin: uncommonly short and with fangs. He's also the funniest character in the movie. Rino Romano is fine as Wayne/Batman, although, again, he stands in the shadow of Kevin Conroy, who voiced the character in the old series. The only relatively well-known actor whose voice is used is Peter Stormare ("Fargo," "Minority Report") as Dracula, who does a very good job, even though I am more used to seeing him playing nutjobs.

I had my doubts about this buying this Film but it has won me over and I really enjoyed it. The story is that The Batman goes up against Count Dracula after The Penguin Accidently reawakens him from his deep sleep and batman has to stop the king of Vampires before he turns Gotham into the city of the undead. this film has great voice Actors like Kevin Michael Richardson as the joker, Tara Strong as Vicki Vale and Rino Romano as batman. if you like batman and vampires then you should pick this up.

This slice of animated Batman is excellent, fitting in somewhere between the classic 90's TV series and the current crop of DC animations.

Although Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are absent its always fun and interesting to hear other takes on the Batman and Joker voice roles. The work done here by Rino Romero and Kevin Michael Richardson is very good in itself.

Unlike some of the recent DC animated movies this is more than a 90 minute beat em up, there's a bit more plot here to chew on as the Batman and Dracula myths become intertwined. We've seen this before in a few different comic book versions but this animation fits into the genre very nicely.

Its very much a gothic horror version of the story, this take on The Dark Knight is rather erm dark so perhaps not suitable to all younglings. For the rest of us however, its more than suitable. Highly recommended.

ok so i didn't get too far in (about 20 mins) when it was just a bit too much for me, i didn't like the look or VA of penguin or Joker, some of the lines (and sounds) that penguin delivers make him sound shivering and comical (i half expected him to turn into woody woodpecker) then there was stuff it was just too out of character like did you know penguin was a trained martial artist.... you didn't? that's because he isn't apart from in this oh and he punches through a solid brick/concrete wall i can only suspend my disbelief so far before it breaks.

if your reading before watching Batman Vs Dracula don't watch it, go watch one of the other batman cartoons that are on here then a different one don't bother with this one till all over options are seen first (im assuming your a Prime user)

I've not watched too much of the animated series of Batman but was attracted to this because of my love of both Dracula and DC Comics.

The story is fairly basic; Dracula is resurrected in Gotham and, as it seems unlikely that there are two men synonymous with bats, Batman gets blamed for the lost and murdered citizens.

It's hard to imagine the demographic this film was aiming for. It's a bit grisly and unpleasant for kids but the plot line is too simplistic for adults. It falls between two stalls.

There are appearances from both the Joker and Penguin, and Albert's dry humour is, as ever, very welcome. The animation shows some nice touches and the music is atmospheric, it's just a bit lacking in substance.
