Batman: Arkham Knight brings the award-winning Arkham trilogy from Rocksteady Studios to its epic conclusion.

Developed exclusively for next-gen platforms, Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady's uniquely designed version of the Batmobile. The highly anticipated addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.

Key features

Be the Batman

Live the complete Batman experience as the Dark Knight enters the concluding chapter of Rocksteady's Arkham trilogy.

Players will become the world's greatest detective like never before with the introduction of the Batmobile and enhancements to signature features such as FreeFlow Combat, stealth, forensics, and navigation.

In this explosive finale, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city that he is sworn to protect, as Scarecrow returns to unite the super criminals of Gotham and destroy the Batman forever.

Introducing the Batmobile

The Batmobile is brought to life with a completely new and original design featuring a distinct visual appearance and a full range of on-board high-tech gadgetry. Designed to be fully drivable throughout the game world and capable of transformation from high-speed pursuit mode to military-grade battle mode, this legendary vehicle sits at the heart of the game's design and allows players to tear through the streets at incredible speeds in pursuit of Gotham City's most dangerous villains. This iconic vehicle also augments Batman's abilities in every respect, from navigation and forensics to combat and puzzle-solving, creating a genuine and seamless sense of the union of man and machine.

The epic conclusion to the trilogy

Batman: Arkham Knight brings all-out war to Gotham City. The hit-and-run skirmishes of Batman: Arkham Asylum, which escalated into the devastating conspiracy against the inmates in Batman: Arkham City, culminates in the ultimate showdown for the future of Gotham.

At the mercy of Scarecrow, the fate of the city hangs in the balance as he is joined by the Arkham Knight, a completely new and original character in the Batman universe, as well as a huge roster of other infamous villains including Harley Quinn, The Penguin, Two-Face, and the Riddler.

Explore the entirety of Gotham City

For the first time, players have the opportunity to explore all of Gotham City in a completely open and free-roaming game world. More than five times the size of Batman: Arkham City, Gotham City has been brought to life with the same level of intimate, hand-crafted attention to detail for which the Arkham games are known.

Most Wanted side missions

Players can fully immerse themselves in the chaos that is erupting in the streets of Gotham. Encounters with high-profile criminal masterminds are guaranteed, while also offering gamers the opportunity to focus on and take down individual villains or pursue the core narrative path.

New combat and gadget features

Gamers have at their disposal more combat moves and high-tech gadgetry than ever before. The new 'gadgets while gliding' ability allows Batman to deploy gadgets such as batarangs, the grapnel gun, or the line launcher mid-glide, while Batman's utility belt is once again upgraded to include all-new gadgets that expand his range of forensic investigation, stealth incursion, and combat skills.

Never written a review before but felt compelled to. I've read a few negative comments in respect to the batmobile and yes I must say at first I did find it very frustrating, especially when faced with riddlers riddles or the racing round the track with the bat mobile. It did feel very clumsy but once you have spent a few hours with it it does become easier to control. So be patient people before going all guns blazing and saying how bad it is.

The game itself is beautiful Gotham looks amazing in all its next gen glory.. The story so far I have found very immersive and lost many hours playing but have barely scratched the surface. There are so many side missions to keep you entertained if you wish or you can just follow the main story. You don't always play as the bat so far I have played as catwomen and Jim Gordon admittedly only briefly but it all adds to the experience..

The general gameplay is brilliant the combat system flows very smoothly and has some new moves added as well. You can find it a bit repetive at times but as said the system is very smooth.

Love the gliding you can seem to glide for an age especially now the grapple gun pulls you even faster so mean more height. You can ever glide out of the batmobile which is a pretty good touch.

Anyway all in all love the game have been a massive fan since the 1st game and for me this does not disappoint and is probably the best to date shame it's the last. If you've played the previous games then you won't be disappointed and if you are new to it all I can't recommend it enough.

Overall a 10/10 from me

This game is fantastic, large scale open world with tonnes to do and the ability to go anywhere and climb anything. All set in the beautifully crafted Gotham City and believe me graphically this game looks stunning, colour saturation, frame rate and anti aliasing is virtually spot on.

Combat is just as engaging and satisfying as it always was in past games but it's the batmobile that steals the show, weapons and gadgets galore and can be driven around the streets across most of the map. As per usual you can either make progress with the main storyline or make a detour and take down lower level criminals along the way and believe me there are plenty to go around!

So what is the story and what do i think about it, well needless to say it's incredibly immersive and the more you play, the more you want to play! Essentially from what i've played so far Scarecrow has released a new type of the fear toxin in the city, most people are evacuated in time but those infected remain, you as batman and Commissioner Gordon along with some help from Robin and even Poison Ivy are the only ones left to help.

Verdict: So far at least some 6 hours in i'm very impressed with how it looks and plays, they've removed all the barriers to truly exploring and you can literally go anywhere you want, I love some of the gadgets that batman has like the grappling gun and the ability to glide for ages makes travelling the map a breeze and the batmobile is simply the cherry on the cake. I've yet to encounter any bugs or glitches and it seems very stable and judging by what i've played so far i don't think i've scratched the surface of the game especially if you take into account all the side quests and missions available. The variety of game play on offer is to be applauded as is the level of detail the developers have put into the map!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and depending on how the game progresses could well end up being my game of the year!!

I'm a big fan of the Arkham series (not so much Arkham Origin's), so I had to get this game as I have played countless hours on Asylum and City and I was not disappointed with the final installment! The game runs fluently from the combat to the Batmobile, and the story, even though i'm only around a quarter of the way through I would say, is already turning out to be the best of the series!

I definitely recommend buying this game as you will not be let down!

rocksteady studios have done it again and if this is their last game in the trilogy they have gone out with a Big Bang that's for sure, the game is basically a huge expansion from arkham City with more moves, weapons, and of course the batmobile which fits so well into this game, so far I've only played a thew solid hours and it is nothing short of amazing well worth buying.

I picked this game up first thing this morning, so far I’ve only had time to play it for a couple of hours, but they were a great couple of hours!

When you begin a new mission the cinematic intro begins, which in itself is beautifully done, it's authentic Batman and sets the tone for the game. When the impressive intro is over, and you have picked your jaw off the floor, you then see Batman (you) perched high above Gotham, the city skyline looks wonderful, your mission now begins.

I won't say any more about the story, I don't want to spoil it for you, but first impressions are the graphics are absolutely stunning. The open world is exquisitely detailed, the lighting & reflections on the wet streets gives the game an atmospheric feel, it feels like you really are Batman, especially in Free Roam mode, which is epic. The Batmobile pursuit mode is awesome too, everything about this game looks polished & feels proper next gen. The combat system is familiar, pretty much the same tried & trusted controls as on Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, there are also a few new moves thrown in for good measure. If you have played either of these games you will be able to jump straight in.

I have also spent a little time in Free Roam mode, this adds an extra dimension to the game. You can navigate Gotham in your Batmobile, it’s like GTA on steroids! A cool feature is you can use the momentum of your vehicle to launch Batman skywards, then with the aid of your Bat Wings, you have the freedom to swoop around the dark streets looking for scum to take down, when you happen upon a gang of thugs you can exact some Batman style retribution, temporarily making the streets safe again, it’s brilliant!
