having been a fan of batista for sometime, i found this book a good read.
he is very honest throughout and opens up about he kids and love for his ex wife,.
he shares stories about traveling on the road, and the respect he has for other wrestlers including eddie, and the chris benoit tradegy.

one thing i found is he says a lot of things like "i carn't remember the name of the place, or who was there". but its still worth reading

First of all i would like to say that this book is very good, but it gives you an insight into the life of a superstar rather than the buisness (if you would like to read about how the buisness works read HBK's book lol)

I felt that this book could be a tiny bit premature because Batista's career is fairly new, although he has accomplished a heck of a lot in that time. The book follows Batista's life from childbirth up until Backlash 2007. The book is broken up into mini chapters about certain things which is great if you want to pick it up and read a few pages then stop (i never put it down!)

The one thing that annoyed me about this book was that Batista would start telling a story like this "I remember one time me and Randy were in a club but i cant remember the circumstances" or "i don't recall who was there but". That was the one thing that really annoyed me but desptie this there are some great stories in their involving other wrestlers.

I think this is a very well written book that gives a great insight into a superstars life and what stresses and strains they are put through. A must buy

Batista Unleashed is a very enojyable read in which you truly get Batista's feelings on matters, which unveils a story of a man with more to him than perhaps people may think. The only drawback is his wrestling career, particularly as a headliner, has been fairly short,so maybe this autobiography is perhaps too early, but the life he's lead more than makes up for it-an engaging read

If there was ever a pro-wrestler who wrote a book, just to cash-in on their popularity it is Dave Batista. This book was written just a couple of years into his wrestling career and didn't really seem to fit any purpose other than to try and get him over with the fans and make him and the company a bit of money. Sure, that's what the business is all about but as one fan to another, I'd recommend not bothering with this book.

There are some positives in the book, we learn about his upbringing and how he made his way to the top of the WWE card from being a poor kid from Washington but there's no real detail in here. There's no real substance or real human stories to connect with him.

If you're a big fan of his, then by all means buy the book but if you're looking for any pro-wrestling book there are a ton of better ones on the market.

I am a hugeeee wrestling fan and have read alot of autobiographies like this, but this is by far the best! This book is more about Batista's personal life than about the wrestling business itself which i find alot more interesting. I love the fact that he isn't afraid to say what he thinks about anything; the whole book is just honest and frank and very very real. I must admit that i'm slightly biased because i've always been a big Batista fan, but i would honestly recommend this book to anybody, even people who don't really like Batista that much. I guarentee that even if you're still not a Batista fan after reading this book, you will at least have a new found respect for the man for how he's turned his life around to make him the star he is today.

Having just finished another wrestler's autobiography I eagerly went onto Batista Unleashed and although I enjoyed reading this book I found that it lacked something. I'm still not sure what the something is but if you like Batista then you should enjoy reading this book. It takes you through his early life up to 2007, he explains the hardships he has endured to get where he is today, which makes you respect his achievement just that bit more.

A good read for all wrestling fans and particularly for those who mark for 'The Animal'. What I liked about this book was it's regular crossover from Dave's life story to following him as he fulfils all his wrestling commitments. It's hard work being a WWE wrestler and you get a good impression of how hard it is by reading this book.
