Not many companies have published a revision guide for A-level Environmental Science. This is the best alternative as not only does it follow the syllabus, but it is also written by the cheif examiner.

The first edition was terrible this edition has a nicer cover - the only improvement. This book goes into far too little detail to be of much use as any sort of indepth revision guide. With the changes in the exam over the last few years what is in the book has grown increasingly marginal in helping anyone to pass the Environmental Science exam.
The new environmenatl studies syllabus is launched in September, so wait for a new book. If you have any interest in the environment generally this is not the book you want to buy.
Just leave it alone.

This book covers some of the syllabus, but seems to miss large chunks out and does not explain aspects in as much detail as you would expect seeing as it is written by the chief examiner. It would benefit from having a bit more colour and a few more diagrams. Unfortunately as the other reveiwer said, there aren't any other revision guides or text books for environmental science, so this is probably be the best bet. My advice is make sure you look through the syllabus for the year of your exam and make sure that you cover all the points in there. Don't simply rely on this book to get through your A-Level, try and use other sources. This is from experience, I am just about to sit my A-level exam.

Very useful and informative
I purchased this book whilst studying for environmental science as and it was the perfect textbook that followed the cirriculium for the board AQA.

I had the good fortune to be taught by Richard, from what I understand he co-wrote the exams as well as this text.
