I love this. It's reminiscent of bleepy school disco music from the 80's, only with one distinct advantage: it's good. 'Batbox' has a stylish Euro-pop vibe, and Miss Kittin's monotone vocals are delivered with an ironic wink and sexy accent, accompanied by an ancient-sounding drum machine, rumbling gothic bass lines and catchy synth riffs. It rocks in that rare way which doesn't involve guitars. 'Play Me A Tape' has my favourite lyrics, a song about the long-lost romance of the C-90 compilation. It's a cute love song, but don't worry, many on here rock hard enough to float your boat if you like heavier bands like Curve or Collide, although don't misunderstand me, this has a much purer, old-school, sound. If cool female vox with an electronic backing and a dark twist are your thing, you'll love this.

Miss Kittin ( aka Caroline Herve ) is back with a superlative
new offering of her signature electrochic.
The mood is, as ever, dark but playful.
Droll, seductive incantations, half sung, half spoken,
weave in and out of the uber funky synth arrangements.
This is a truly genre defining feast to get the feet of even
the hardest hearted night creature twitching on the dancefloor.
Trust me....you need these bats in your belfry!
Prrrrrrr......!

More of the same from Miss Kittin, following up from her previous album "I Com" with a similar-sounding offering. This time round the tone is a little bit gentler and less nasty, but the principle's the same- Miss Kittin lending some international chic with half-sung half-spoken vocals on top of slick electroclash synths and beats.

Electroclash sort of came and went around the time of Fischerspooner and while Miss Kittin wasn't the huge star she might have been, she's stuck to her guns and put out another decent but not groundbreaking electro album. If you liked any of her previous solo albums or stuff with The Hacker, then you'll enjoy this.
