Forty-something seeking sexy romp?,

Bastards Leave Suckers Who Love Too Much is a brilliant read. The characters are real people you can identify with, who lead credible lives and are faced with believable decisions. Zoe, the main character, speaks and thinks like us forty-something women: by turns, loving mother, sexy whore, frustrated and long-suffering wife. At times, however, with the reader's benefit of hindsight (or is it foresight?), she is infuriating. "Don't do that Zoe!" I found myself silently screaming; but everything she does is what any one of us might well have done in that situation. The story has a brilliant twist in the middle, which brings the reader up with a jolt and makes the whole novel more sinister. It is sexy, funny and intriguing: a book I didn't want to put down and the ending was ....!

I loved this book because it reminded me of my worst ex who didn't get away with it either. I laughed out loud at Zoe getting through all the stuff that came her way and I thought the sex was great.

This is a real page turner. I couldn't put it down. Complex characters guarantee an unpredictable story, which keep you guessing on how things are going to turn out, right up to the last page. Also nice to read about an older, feisty, chaotic woman who hasn't gone off and died a death in the suburbs, despite the exciting adventures of her twenties.
