I have been writing since I was old enough to hold a pencil. I enjoy creating characters that could be your next-door neighbor, but would you want them as your neighbor is another story. Originally from the island of Trinidad and Tobago, I moved to the United States in 1998. Since then I have been involved in the entertainment industry for over ten years. I am an entrepreneur and advocate for women and children’s rights and I enjoy being in nature and volunteering.

This book will keep you hooked on just like the first two did and will keep the questions popping in your head. I guess there will be no end to the spell this book will cast upon its readers. Gillian Felix is truly wonderful in the way she writes and captivates her readers. She has a true gift and I guess anyone who reads her books will be waiting for the next book as eagerly as I am.
Zax and Kristin are still together and trying to move things further in their relationship. Kristin isn't a big fan of little sister Adriana. So we can only guess what will happen between her and Zax if he gets wind of that.
Kevin and Savi I gotta say not a big fan, I understand why he perfers older women because some (key word) tend to be less clingy. But Savi blackmailing him in order to keep herself attached to his pants is completely cray-cray, and he doesn't seem like the type to cave in so quickly without a plan B (watch your back Savi).
Kevin on the other hand has connected with L'wren, she is the clarity that he seeks from the ugliness from his other life. She is in some ways the person he has been looking for without ever really looking nor wanting. With L'wren he can have something like what his parents have. And that doesn't even scare him one bit her finding out about him and Savi is a whole other subject. But under all of that exterior I'm rooting for Kevin to find his zen even if it's with L'wren.
Leighann is still trying to adjust to her new life. It would be nice if Adriana would relent a bit on his harshness. The exchange between Kevin and Leighann is sweet and so brotherly.
Haze finally managed to land a sweet deal in the world of modeling, however, he was given a crash course on how ruthless some of them in the industry can be and let me tell you it messed with his head and his beautiful core to much (if I haven't let on yet I'm a huge Haze Lyndon fan). His sincere honesty landed him a wonderful opportunity.
Adriana and Haze continue to grow and connect with each other (I maybe in the minority here but I do love them both together, he brings out the better person in her that isn't jaded from all the glitz and glamour that comes with fame) however the web of lies that she has been weaving is going to be her downfall. And when Haze finally learns the truth about her age, I'm afraid that the wholesome Haze will be affected, and I hope that he doesn't turn bitter and just walks away but not towards Carys.
The truth about Astrid and if the drugs were even hers comes out.
But all in all it was all in the days work for the Banovic siblings.
Can't wait for the next book. I cannot tell a lie the Banovic's have turned out to be my little guilty pleasure.
You ever read a book where you just kept wishing that one or two people would get in trouble because they were such a pain? This has been how I felt the entire time reading this book. Adriana is more than a pill. She is absolutely spoiled and needs a little bit of a reality check. Some events that happen do give her a little bit of a check, but she is still as spoiled as ever. Kudos to Kevin for handling her well though. His dose of reality was the best out of everything. Savi is still being herself, but Kevin has plans for her. All in all, it's another day in the life of the DaCostas and the Banovics!
Kevin discovers what it’s like to truly care for someone when he meets L’Wren. Too bad he has become entangled in lies, deceit and sexual blackmail with, of all people, his mother’s one time best friend, L’Wren’s stepmother, the epitome of a beautiful, yet deadly cougar. Savi knows she has him trapped and she is unwilling to pull her claws out of Kevin. Is there a way he can save his budding romance with L’Wren and rid himself of Savi without anyone being the wiser?
Is his carefully crafted world about to fall in on him? What of his other “less than savory” enterprises? Always the big brother to his siblings, the one who could fix everything, the private Banovic is in trouble, even his role of white Knight may be tarnished, not to mention his heart may take a beating, too.
We all need some drama in our lives, right? What safer way than reading about someone else’s drama, one bite at a time, as their lives start to implode on them? Thanks to Gillian Felix’ ability to cram a gallon of action into a 4 ounce cup, Bastard’s Brew is a delightful way to escape into someone else’s life and learn to appreciate living a “normal one,” yourself! Ms. Felix knows how to create high tension with seemingly just the flick of her magic pen as it flows with a flair for the dramatic. Each character is desperately flawed, but attempt to function behind their own masks. Secrets, lies, more lies and more secrets. Better than Daytime soaps, I can visualize my own scenes, thanks to Ms. Felix!
For a quick escape, with high velocity tension, you MUST read the series Family Portrait!
The writting style is still very good and I think it is mostly that that draws attention to the book and makes it stand out in this genre.
I recommend it to anyone who loves a good drama!
