Product Description

Product Description

Duncan Cairns, supremely organised Account Director for the chaotic, stuck-in-the-seventies advertising firm of Clancey & Bennett, is so contented with his matt black office equipment and his company BMW that he's never really thought of doing anything else. Until he gets a call from Karen Myhill, head of an independent TV production company. Karen wants Duncan's creativity, and Duncan's tempted. What he doesn't realise is that Karen's son is the product of a union with a man known only as Basket Case - for the wastepaper basket shoved over his head by Karen when interrupted in flagrante. In the close-knit world of the media, this could cause all sorts of problems...

Firstly i define a good book worthy of 5 stars is a book you don't want to put down and might have to stay up in the wee hours of the night until you have finished.

Basket Case by Douglas Chirnside is an example that fits the criteria. Exposing the politics inside an advertising agency while exposing homosexuality in a gentlier light is somewhat revolutionary. Anyway this book is a great read, i thoroughly recommend it.
