Product Description

Product Description

"Basics" is the first title in the "Midwifery Essentials" series and prepares the reader to understand and master a range of clinical skills safely and with confidence. The jigsaw model of midwifery care is introduced and explained, providing a framework to explore the application of each of the clinical skills described in subsequent chapters. Central to undertaking each of the skills discussed is the need to communicate effectively with women and their families.

Just perfect! 28 Aug 2010
Format:Paperback
I am just entering my 2nd year as a Midwifery Student and I wish I had bought this before I started. Packed with basic easy to understand information, I would recommend the whole series...it's invaluable and its references to the NMC guidelines is fab. Early in the 1st year of the course I had an oral exam on the NMC guidelines, I would of just loved to of had this book to help revise!! I am sure I will use it throughout my training and for reference once qualified! A MUST purchase!!
