5.0 out of 5 stars Basics photography 5 Jan 2011
By jeff
Format:Paperback
A essential read for all photographers the rest of the series are good reference works handy to delve in and out of and very well written. Calling it Basics tends to imply that it is just that, but it goes way beyond basics. I currently own five of the series and I intend to get the full set.

3.0 out of 5 stars Basic yet comprehesnive 4 Jan 2014

Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I found this book to be basic as that title suggested but a good bit comprehensive. If you are just starting out in color photography its a good book to put into your collection. If you have a good grasp of color and were looking for post production tips and tricks its not the book for you. They really should take off the word post production. If anything I would call it processing even the digital stuff they cover.
