5.0 out of 5 stars This is the greatest book for Pharmacology!!!!!!, 21 April 1999
By A Customer
This book was my bible for Pharmacology. Even though "Goodman and Gillman" contains everything there is to know about the subject, which medical school student needs to know all of that. The book first starts each chapter with a review of fundamental physiology of the normal body. Next it describes the drug and its effects on the body. Next comes the clincal pharamcology of the drugs. The understanding of pharmacology from reading this book is unparalleled.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Pharmacology review, without great detail, 22 April 1998
By A Customer
This book is basically a summary of Goodman and Gilman, without all the unnecessary detail. A good review text, and lots easier to carry around. Great for quick look-ups.

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs more structure and user friendliness, 21 Nov 2007
By
This is the recommended pharmacology text for the Australian Emergency Fellowship Exams. Questions are closely linked to it.

It could be improved by being better structured. It lacks structure some places.

Pharm was a strong subject for me at med school, where I was examined in the 2nd and 4th years by MCQ, Essay and Viva. Despite this, I still find this book can be hard to follow.

For the med student, where time is limited and there are multiple other subjects to digest, I would recommened more basic, smaller, higher yield books i.e. more novice friendly books. Perhaps have this one as a reference.
