Having used the basic optical MS mouse before I was happy with it. This one is smaller in size (meaning your hand is much bigger than the mouse and falls around it), feels cheap (light plastic which feels empty inside), and the mouse-click noise is much stronger than the old basic MS optical mouse. Before you could not hear the clicking sound so much. Now you can definitely hear it and if you're on the phone the other person can also hear you clearly clicking. All in all, ok, it works..but the build quality is not the same. I like the old version better: it was bigger (easier to hold), quieter and less emppty-plastic-y.
The first picture shows a simple, nice looking 2 coloured product. What have arrived is a lame 3 coloured thing, as shown on customer uploaded pictures 2 and 3. It works otherwise. I just don't like the appearance.
I often have problems connecting hardware to my laptop because it is a nuisance of a computer, but this mouse started working immediately when I plugged it in. It has survived months of abuse, including several impacts on a hardwood floor. It's also surprisingly comfortable to use given that it doesn't look particularly ergonomic. If you're looking for a cheapish mouse with a solid performance, this is the one for you.

Solid old mouse...
This isn't a fancy schmancy mouse and it's obviously not corded. For what it is, considering the newer mouses(sic) out there, it's not cheap either. Read more
