Well produced colourful book - interesting tid-bits and nuggets even for the discerning fan - covers almost all the known topics with great photos - ideal for a gift or a casual read

We did not know quite what to expect from Barry Norman of cinema critic fame.
The book is wonderful, full of relevant details, data, photos, and anecdotes. An ideal dip-in short read for the lavatory!

This is a well-written colourful book with plenty of quality photographs. A lot of cricket books are written by stuffy oxbridge types. This book is a welcome change. It is a easy-to-read book and contains plenty of facts and figures.
The only criticisms I have of this book is with Barry Norman's choice of England greats in Chapter 4. More cricketers should have been included in this section. For example, Alex Stewart and Darren Gough were great cricketers for England but suprisingly are omitted from the 'greats' list. Stewart played more tests for England than anyone else and Gough is Englands greatest ODI bowler. I also feel there should have been a chapter on 'great test captains'.
