Product Description

Book Description

Barry the Butter Blob is facing an existential crisis. Although he has everything he could possibly want (including a brand new BLINGING butter tray) he still feels unsatisfied with his life. He is also dogged with persistent fears about breakfast time and often has nightmares about warm toast. In an attempt to alleviate his boredom he goes thrill seeking outside of the fridge. But after a few precarious encounters with dangerous kitchen appliances he gets tired of fooling around and goes back to his butter tray to chill out. After a little while of sitting there alone he starts to meditate to look for the real blob within.....Then something WONDERFUL happens ...

From the Author

Who are these books for? Target Audience: 1-100! These books address questions that we are confronted with in our adult lives: Why are we here? Where do we belong? How do we cope with life and death? These important issues are addressed in a humorous lighthearted manner through a quirky array of kitsch characters. In all my books the characters overcome a particular challenge and in the process, discover something fundamental about themselves. My writing is influenced by Hermann Hesse, Carl Jung and Calvin and Hobbes.

5.0 out of 5 stars And he's bartering a stairway to heaven., 14 April 2006

Barry the Butter Blob discovers the meaning of life, by Ann Louise Stubbs is simply one of the funniest books, I've read in a long time. And like all good books it leaves you wanting more so I was glad to get hold of Terrance the Toilet travels the world. If I was a doctor, I would prescribe it as stress relief. Generally speaking it's a humorous look at Barry's existing relationships with other members of the fridge (Alfred the annoyingly optimistic aubergine for example).Barry eventually searches within himself and comes to the conclusion...well that would be telling. This book is a great one for reading to your self or the kids, although it may take a short moment while you try to regain composure from some of the side splitting puns. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Butter Blob Rules!, 4 April 2007
This review is from: Barry the Butter Blob Discovers the Meaning of Life (Hardcover)
I came across this book, wondering who on EARTH would write a book on a blob of butter. Well, I know I would never be able to spin a story like Ann Louise Stubbs has. This book is hilarious, and arrived on my doorstep the day after I ordered it. The quirky characters add a humorous charm to the story; I still can't get over 'Burt the Broccoli'. You have to buy this if you love side-splitting comedy.

What a fantastically funny, clever and poignant story about a blob of butter! The book touches on human truths and emotions in a sweet and slightly dark comic manner. Highly recommended.
