About the Artist
Morgan renowned for his big, strong dark-timbred voice. Performs regularly at the Royal Opera House, London and for other major UK opera houses and opera houses worldwide. European Finalist in Luciano Pavarotti Voice Competition in Modena and Int'l Verdi Compet. in Busetto. Studied in Italy with famous Maestro Ettore Campogalliani. Sung over 50 operatic roles, including many of the Verdian characters. Performed under baton of many of the world's greatest conductors and sung alongside some of the finest Int'l singers. Sung concerts and recitals in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Far East. Sung in all major London concert halls with London orchestras - including Royal Albert Hall and Barbican. Wide ranging oratorio repertoire and enjoys directing and performing programmes of light opera and songs from the shows. Performed for members of the Royal family, Prime Ministers and various visiting Heads of State. Appeared on TV and radio in England, Ireland, France, Belgium, America and Far East. Concert tours in China, Scandinavia and America scheduled for 2007 plus opera and concerts in UK. Ingrid Surgenor one of Britain's most successful and best known accompanists. Renowned for her work as official accompanist for BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Compet. Began her career at Glyndebourne Festival after studying with Gerald Moore. Spent 8 years at Bayreuth Festival. Has accompanied famous singers including Dennis O'Neill, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Sir Thomas Allen. Many radio and TV performances, documentaries, song recitals. Also adjudicator, gives master classes, coach at National Opera Studio in London and principal opera coach and Fellow of Royal Academy of Music. Awarded Honorary Fellowships also by Univ. of Wales and Royal Welsh College of M&D and is national advisor to the Arts COuncil of Wales. June 2000 awarded MBE for services to music.
