Ignore the other reviewer, this worked great and first time.

As the instructions say: "Connect the cable marked MIDI IN to the MIDI OUT on your keyboard" (and obviously the USB to somewhere on your computer)

And that's all there is to it. I loaded up the TruePianos demo and it worked straight off the bat.

Bought this because I had an old keyboard that had old midi connections, which I cannot plug into a newer computers.

A reason for buying this was the spec said "7. USB bus powered; Requires no external power", but it did not work until I bought an external power supply for the keyboard.

Does the job now though.

Very little to say about this. Got confused a few times which MIDI (In/Out) plug to insert where on the keyboard. It works fine and even has a red LED why you press a note.

This was recommended by a friend of mine who have been recording drum and bass tracks on his keyboard. I was looking forward into songwriting and recording my own music and thus bought this one. It came pretty quick and transaction has been fine. But there is only one flaw: NO MANUAL.

I know that this comes on as a plug-and-play device but since I am new to MIDI recording, I can understand where one plug goes where. I am using SONY ACID PRO (as I have a Vaio) as I plugged the MIDI IN and OUT on my keyboard, there are 2 higher pitch notes that sounds everytime I press the keys. It sounds like a bell and I tried to solve this issue but I can't! I tried installing Reason and the cable worked but because I can't understand the software, I couldn't record my songs.

Hopefully, I could find a solution to this but this cable/adaptor should come with a manual or at least a list of compatible software with it.
