If you have a number of leads to label, studio leads if you're a musician, or several battery chargers in a muddle, you cannot do better than to buy a pack of these. Just make sure, unlike the previous reviewer, that you buy an EXTRA FINE TIPPED MARKER PEN, DESIGNED TO WRITE ON PLASTIC. Staedtler's example of the genre, also for overhead projectors, is my weapon of choice: it's a 'staedler permanent lumocolor S dry safe ' permanent marker in black, and it does the job a treat. Pentel fine tips on permanent markers write like blackboard chalk and are best avoided by this reviewer. Write the label, loop the Cable Tie around the cable, thread through, pull almost tight, and then cut the surplus with scissors. You get more than you'll ever need in the pack, so if there's a problem first attempt it really doesn't matter. Hope this helps, please don't be put off by other reviews.

Having read the two previous reviews, I thought there's an interesting product, surely only one can be correct. On the face of it the cable tie was just what I wanted. In the past I've used all kinds of tape that usually leave behind a horrible sticky residue or just fall off. Anyway, as far as I'm concerned only one review was correct - it's a great product - definitely 5*. I've used over 60 of these little bad boys (or girls) - if it's a cable I've labelled. I now don't have to worry when tracing a cable that I would still somehow disconnecting the wrong one. As the more discerning reviewer wrote - just use the proper pen. I've got CD pens of different colours and all show up clearly and being permanent shouldn't fade nor smudge. I would definitely recommend this product - now where is another cable that I may have missed!

I purchased this product and they arrived in time, they attached easily to the wire but were very fiddly to write on but did the job, as an additional advantage my cat absolutely loved pinching these from the packet to play with them so had to hide them from her.

write on tie markers
Good for the price and especially as a tie. Not a huge surface area for writing on - I used a number and kept a rwritten record of what the number related to. Does the job.

Easy to write on? About as false as my Grandma's teeth.
Just recieved these things, and they are far from easy to write on.
