Sweet Talkin' Ken allows you to record your voice by pressing a button on Ken's chest and then replaying it by pressing one of three settings on his back. Ken can sound high pitched, like your own voice, or a deep masculine Ken voice. As a result we have had much hilarity in the house with Sweet Talkin' Ken and our daughter enjoys the fact that at a press of the button her doll 'talks'.
I would say STK has been a source of much fun, play and amusement for all the family and of course he is good looking too...

Barbie Sweet Talkin' Ken I thought I had cracked it by ordering all my presents online. I even didn't mind waiting a few days extra for some of the packages to arrive i.e. 21 Dec 2011, so you can imagine my horror when my niece's "Barbie Sweet Talkin' Ken" arrived and the packaging was in german and even worse, when I put batteries into the doll, it spoke German!! So, after all that advanced planning, I'm off to the centre tomorrow (Christmas Eve) to see if by any chance I can pick up a "Barbie Sweet Talkin' Ken" doll that has its' instructions in english and better still speaks english! I'm not impressed at all!

I must say the Ken we bought is not German though.....
I am not sure about educational value, except that having fun in itself is educational in any case. It certainly stimulates imagination and laughter, my daughter spends ages performing inticate role-plays with this toy, the barbies, various action figures, and herself, using all sorts of different voices. I am also not sure about durability, however so far it has turned out to be a fun toy worth buying, it was a little expensive but these kinds of toys always are, and it was £5 cheaper than from a major toy retailer.

Sweet Talkin Ken Doll
