This toy is great for children who love to be "grown up". Since buying it my daughter sometimes helps me with the ironing (well just keeping me company while i get through a huge pile). It easy to assemble and is quite big for a 3 year old. The iron itself makes a noise but thats about it. If your child is into barbie and pretending to be grown up then id say go for it.
