Being a student of archaeology I find it amazing how many people assume we must dig up dinosaurs, Mattel seem to have provided a solution by turning Barbie into a Paleontologist. Hopefully this will get the message across...
This is a fantastic doll, the outfit is well designed and nicely detailed. It's sensible but still pretty, I only wish I looked this stylish on digs! The accessories match the doll well too, a lovely dino puzzel and most importantly a trowel! The puzzle is glittery which is a nice touch.
I can't comment on how durable the doll is as it's not coming out of the box, but Barbies are usually pretty sturdy. However the major plus point for me is that the doll was produced in association with the Smithsonian Institution, it's wonderful to see a major museum group getting involved with something like this. Hence the high education rating!
All in all a lovely doll, beautifully detailed and a must for any one who likes dinosaurs or disgruntled archaeologists!
