I am a huge fan of Hepworth and this book tells of her tragic life and amazing skill in viewing the countryside differentely! Discussing and illuminating the methods and proceedures behind these fantastic pieces, this book gives you a real insiders view, of the true character of Hepworth. Any lover of sculpture or art must buy.

Obviously purchasing a second hand copy from Amazon I didn't expect it to be in perfect condition but I was disappointed when this book arrived. It was clearly an ex-library copy, still wrapped in the plastic cover and had the date stamp sheet stuck in the front. I removed the plastic cover and it instantly improved the look of the book but could not removed the date stamp sheet without ripping the first page.

The book itself offers a good insight into Hepworth's life and work and is a useful starting point for people wishing to know more about her, but not for the serious art enthusiasts as it doesn't go into enough detail.
