Barack Obama is not the saviour, not the messiah. The US media lapdogs have taken it upon themselves to create a myth surrounding Obama, lulling the public into a false sense of securtiy into thinking this man is "whiter than white" ... pun intended.

Obama has no policies. He has no ideas and one can know this by simply following his campagin. He flip flopped between ideologies like the wind blows. The book I must praise. It rips the lid of the filth of Washington DC and tells the reader that the ruling class will give us "new image politicians" every few years in the hope the world will change, but it wont change, it will get worst and Obama is a world tradgey waiting to happen. Tarpley uses history to lead the reader along the same parallels that countless other Americans followed in the days when Jimmy Carter was in office, with many of the same controllers and handlers that Obama has today. This man is more dangerous than Bush.

The author of this book is clearly a fierce critic of Obama and it shows throughout the book!
I did not like the many repetitions that pervade the book. It seems to be Tarpley's hallmark, having read other books by him. Perhaps he uses that literary artefact to ensure the reader really gets it :-)
There are alo many typos although to be fair to Tarpley, he did warn the reader that he had to rush to get this published before the end of the presidential campaign.
Ultimately, this book, regardless of style, is packed with facts and information. A lot of research has clearly gone into the preparation of the book. The angle taken by Tarpley is singular in that it was not covered at all by any of the other commentators and journalists during the campaign.
If this book had had a widespread readership in the USA at the time, Obama would certainly not have been elected.
In conclusion, for someone who does not know very much about Obama (which was my case before reading this) or someone who thinks they know a lot about Obama but have only been exposed to mainstream media sources, this book is highly recommended in the interest of redressing the balance.

I was very quickly disappointed to read Tarpleys style is that of an angry teenager who is certainly not placing facts on the page for a reader to decide. He is repeatedly banging the reader over the head with his opinions of Obama.

I neither like nor trust Obama, nor do I like nor trust almost any politicians today, so I certainly have no time for McCain, Bush, Clinton et al. But I do not want to get into some Republican Democrat argument. I'm Irish, not American, I'd like information and facts and the right to make up my own mind.

I bought this book seeking a real history of Obama, I did partially find that, however I had to regularly try to ignore Tarplys opinions. It is full of real facts on Obamas life, many distasteful, I would have preferred to have read them from an unbiased journalist. I am an adult so feel I can make up my own mind on a character when provided with details.

Having said that I do recommend this book to anyone interested in Obama, it is difficult at times but with such a lack of critical information out there on Obama it is definitely worth reading, its better than just following the medias portrayal of this man as a Savior. But I do not subscribe to the opposite view - that he is the Anti-Christ, I just think he's another corrupt puppet politician, who acts for the cameras like all those before him, nothing new there.

I'm a very satisfied customer. It was in very good condition, arrived promptly and is a thumping good read. Highly recommended. Dr. Tarpley is very authoritative, a compelling and authoritative writer of the first rank.

I am still reading through this substantial work, and although it may have a "right wing" bias, it does give a much more honest picture of Obama, as both a politician and a man. He certainly is NOT the "Second Coming with a suntan" as some bleeding-heart white liberals appear to think, and their sheep-like bleetings about "hope" are painfully naive. He has genuine intellect (unlike many other American politicians) and he is also a talented orator. This book therefore gives a much more realistic appraisal of this clever politician and his path to power, and a glimpse of the driving ambition that motivates him. An essential book for anyone who wants a REAL insight into Obama, who he is, and where he came from.
