Product Description

Review

"...a reminder of how far the nation's favourite tagger has come [and] an exhaustive guide to those subversive stencils and where to find them, with more than 200 photos and even a walking tour of Banksy pieces in his native Bristol." --Telegraph - 29th January 2011

This is an all new, completely different book [to Volume 1] featuring work not included in the previous offering. It's thick [and] ... a bit of a bargain price too with some of the proceeds going to charity. --artofthestate.co.uk - December 2010

This prosaic approach is refreshing in a book about street-art ... So, keen Banksy fan or merely mildly curious, this book delivers exactly what it promises: "... at the end of the day it's just a grown man doing what he enjoys in life". --EYE MAGAZINE - 12th January 2011

"...an eminently likeable book, full of down-to-earth humour and unexpected trivia." --Venue Magazine - 11th Feb 2011

"...shows the locations of some of his most famous street pieces and some very rare ones that I didn't even know existed." --Very Nearly Almost (vna) Magazine - Issue 14

Product Description

This unique, unofficial, & unashamedly DIY book follows on from the curious runaway success of Martin Bull's first self-published book, Banksy Locations (& Tours) Vol.1, by rounding up the rest of Banksy's UK graffiti from the last five years, as well as older survivors. It includes over 135 different locations of Banksy's street graffiti, past & present (almost half of which are still worth visiting); over 230 colour photographs; information, random facts & idle chit-chat on each location; a full walking tour of his remaining work in Bristol; and also snippets of art/graffiti by Eine, Faile, Inkie, Kato, Mode 2, BA / DBZ, & Rowdy.

Collect all the locations like a geek or just wander around, stop at the various quirky local attractions and explore parts you may never have visited before. Alternatively, get your slippers on, and settle back for an open-top bus ride though some of Banksy's best public work...

5.0 out of 5 stars a great book. well worth the cost for banksy fans!!, 22 Feb 2011
This review is from: Banksy Locations (and a Tour) Vol.2: More Graffiti Locations from the UK: v. 2 (Hardcover)
i bought this book (volume 2) and volume 1 in the same series.

they are both well worth the cost! both books are filled with loads of great photos and info about the banksy works in the uk. volume 2 actually covers areas beyond london with a walking tour of bristol and some pieces in manchester, birmingham and glasgow. (one word of advice, these pieces disappear fast, so don't be too shocked if you go to see a piece and it's gone. this happened to me in glasgow)

the author has done a great job researching the contents of the book. he's laid it out well and made it very easy to follow the directions to find/see the art.

as well, the book covers little bits of trivia about banksy and other cool street artists such as shepard fairey, invader, eine, faile and inkie.

one key point is that volume 2 is a totally new book and actually works as a companion piece to volume 1. so a keen fan is best to buy both as there's no overlap between the two.
