Perhaps that's why Davey thought he'd try his luck and escape rather than serve his time...
This is a story of drugs, violence, life on the run and, ultimately, justice.
About the Author
Ronnie Thompson is an ex-prison officer. He saw more corruption and violence in his years in the service than most people see in a lifetime. Ronnie lives with his partner and their two children.

Having worked as a prison officer, I naturally picked Ronnie's first book out of interest and really enjoyed it. I was quite taken aback when I saw his next offering being from a con's perspective. But I've got to give it to him, it's the best prison book I've read to date. I never thought there'd be something that topped The Damage Done. Especially a book about UK prisons. It's really haunting in parts. Terrific book, a must read.

I have read a number of prison books and this is one of the best
unlike other criminals he does not ask for pity and takes the the 17 years and the violence on the chin
his transformation from evil to good is fantastic - from 8 man unlock to the voilin.

After reading his first book and loving it. It was a no brainer to get this and he has not disappointed me. A gripping tail that had me turning page after page. If you liked the first you'll love this one. Ronnie carries on with his no holds barred insight into prison life. Five stars.

Best British Book Since the Football Factory
