The definitive versions of "Bang" "Goodbye Jumbo" and "Private Revolution" are the re-issues on the Papillon label. Sonically they blow away the previous Ensign cd's, they have much improved low end and so much more detail in the sound. Despite the fact they currently seem unavailable, keep searching - it's well worth it!

This is their best album to date, while the others are good, taking a while to get into, this is top notch. Love every track, lot of style variations, top track 'Sooner or Later'. Buy, relax, enjoy ;o)

I remember thinking when it came out that "World Party" were the UK's answer to REM... only much better.
This and their previous album "Goodbye Jumbo", I would recommend as essential purchases. The influences, such as Dylan, Prince, Beatles and Stones are obvious. However the song writing and melodies and hooks, overcome these comparisons enough to produce really original albums.
This is a grower of an album which stays in your memory, due largely to superb song writing.
And of course "Is it like Today" is one of the greatest songs of the decade.
