The Slicesy is a neat little tool that works alongside the Bamix unit and is driven by the Bamix. Use in the same way as a foodprocessor for doing those extra little jobs that Bamix is not designed for i.e. grating and slicing. There is also a nifty little discharge plate on the inside that allows you to lift food up and out of the bowl. It comes with a main blade for larger amounts of chopping. An ideal way of turning the Bamix into a complete Food Processing unit. Bowls Blades and blade disc can be washed and rinsed in normal way Transmission unit (lid) must be wiped over with damp cloth.

Purchased this to replace food processor. Plus side is that it is fast and does not take up too much space. However I have found that the feeder needs to be bigger, does not take cucumber without taking some off the side, and the container also stains easily. Not that these minor things cannot be overcome but as this is part of a high end purchase this is somewhat iritating.

As we already have a Bamix Processor which we love (and would thoroughly recommend), I bought this accessory for my husband assuming it would be of the same quality. We used it first for grating cheese, which came out lumpy. On its second use, the metal shaft completely sheared off, rendering the product useless. When he had a look to see what was wrong with it, he picked up the metal shaft and badly burned his finger and thumb as it was absolutely red hot. For the price, the product does not seem very robust and is quite fiddly to use.

The service from the seller, Paper Tiger, was excellent. The Bamix SliceSy is a great addition to the blender and its grinder accessory which I already own. The only reason for giving 4 and not 5 stars is that the funnel down which the food is fed for slicing, could benefit from being larger. That said, it's a great accessory; and I'd shop with Paper Tiger again.
